Worlds Smallest Street
This amazing building is situated in the most northerly county of mainland Scotland, Caithness in the town of Wick. Ebenezer Place has so much history as it was built in 1883, when 1 Ebenezer Place was constructed; the owner of the building was instructed to display a name on the shortest side of the hotel. It was officially declared a street in 1887 and was then declared the Worlds smallest street in the Guinness Book of Records around 2006! This amazing building now houses a lovely Bistro Restaurant/Hotel called Mackay's.
As part of my 'Points of interest' around Wick series I knew I needed to include this amazing building, it may not have been painted by Lowry or have an incredible fishing history like the harbour, but it is an adorable little street that all who come to Wick should walk down.
